This book provides a detailed and informative analysis of the run-up to the 2020 election. It explains how identity politics has overwhelmed the left, while class is overlooked. As a result, would-be Democrat voters have been pushed to support Trump. Furthermore, it makes the case that the Democrats and the left more broadly have not learned the lessons of the 2016 Election. The book serves as a warning for the left, by setting out the consequences of continuing to ignore blue-collar workers. It’s a great read for anyone who’s interested in American politics.
